Welcome

The future belongs to new ideas and the new policies they inspire.

With drug abuse ranked as one of the most costly and damaging problems facing the nation, new ideas are critical resources to building more effective strategies and policies.

The Institute for Behavior and Health, Inc. (IBH) works to generate and implement new ideas for drug abuse prevention. By encouraging creative collaboration among diverse disciplines and perspectives, IBH helps ensure that leaders in government and in the private sector can achieve the public health goal of reducing illegal drug use.

Since none of the good ideas we promote are unique to IBH, we make no claim to originality and have no interest in ownership.

Ideas have value only when they are widely shared and implemented in practical applications. We encourage everyone interested in reducing substance abuse to take freely from the concepts identified throughout the website, call them your own and put them to work.

When the sharing, refining and activation of good ideas takes place, IBH has succeeded as a catalyst for progress in preventing and treating drug abuse.
